Lynx offers a family of optical switching subsystems and modules that are designed for integration into system vendors’ application-specific solutions. Lynx optical connectivity subsystems and modules are characterized by their reliability and flexibility.

Each Lynx optical switching subsystem or module contains an optical NxM matrix (starting from 1x2 up to 4-plane 8x8), or an array of such matrices, and includes both the optical module and control logic and electrical interfaces to the host system. A rich variety of electrical interfaces are provided to meet any system control bus requirements: parallel bus, SPI, I2C, Ethernet (for subsystems), RS232, etc. To facilitate software development for its subsystems, Lynx provides an operational protocol with high-level functional control including the creation and modification of multicast connections and optical attenuation control per output.
